Description

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the law firm and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

This is a key role that requires conscientious attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to partners.

• Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including daily accounting needs for the law firm as well as biweekly payroll, monthly reconciliations for multiple accounts, monthend close processes.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Understand and ensure timely preparation and payment of routine tax liabilities.
• Oversee and assist with the preparation of year end tax returns.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Proficient with QuickBooks
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliation processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to partners
