- Prepare and file accurate and timely indirect tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and international tax regulations.
- Review and reconcile indirect tax accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as necessary.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for tax optimization.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for management, providing insights and recommendations related to indirect taxation.
- Continuously evaluate and improve indirect tax processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline tax-related workflows.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation and support during tax audits, ensuring all required information is provided to tax authorities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address audit queries and resolve issues.
- Work closely with other departments such as finance, legal, and operations to ensure proper handling of indirect tax matters related to business transactions and projects.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on indirect tax implications for various business activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 experience in indirect taxation, preferably in a multinational or public accounting firm.
- In-depth knowledge of indirect tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in using tax software and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
