Position Summary


Responsible for supporting the manufacture of aerospace gears, gearboxes, and associated hardware by following and executing all written instructions related to the non-automated deburring, as well as standard edge breaks, specifically dimensioned edge breaks and polishing.

  • Ability to perform precise deburring
  • Read, understand and follow process instructions
  • Inspect work efficiently
  • Identify visually nonconforming product and report to supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station
  • Operate with a sense of urgency while always focusing on safety
  • Communicate effectively with management and employees
  • Excellent attitude and teamwork

Experience and Education

  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in an OEM aerospace deburring
  • Reasonable mechanical aptitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certificate from vocational school or college program is a plus

Competencies and Skills

  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to safely use high speed hand deburring tools
  • Skilled with basic hand deburring tools
  • Ability to work with magnification and enhanced lighting instruments
  • Ability to utilize basic inspection tools including thread and cylindrical go, nogo and calipers
  • Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Resultsdriven
  • Very basic computer literacy

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
