As an industrial mechanic at Oakwood, you are the expert in ensuring that production systems and equipment run smoothly. A responsible approach to handling high-tech machines is essential for safe and productive work in the company. With your understanding of technical processes, you contribute to building quality products.
The apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years and can be shortened with good performance.
What you will learn during the apprenticeship:
- Planning and controlling work processes
- Creating, reading, and applying technical drawings
- Manual and machine processing of workpieces, such as filing, sawing, drilling, turning, and milling
- Assembling and disassembling components or devices, such as a robotic arm
- Building pneumatic and hydraulic controls, optimizing CNC programs, operating and monitoring systems, and troubleshooting and fixing errors
What you bring to the table:
Basic knowledge of math and physics, manual dexterity, and interest in mechanics and control technology.
