Job Summary:


Responsible for assisting with the overall safe, efficient and continuous operation of assigned blending responsibilities and equipment on a daily basis, based on company standards.

Ensure that quality products are produced in the appropriate quantity and within the established guidelines. Work as a productive leader/member of the manufacturing team and independently. Keep blending equipment sanitized. Maintain and monitor water systems and waste water disposal. Monitor all production to ensure lotion requirements are met.


Essential Functions:


  • Blending in 3 separate tank farms.
  • Understand and perform to the Tufco LP Quality System, Customer's Quality Process Standards and / or Specification Requirements.
  • Batch concentrate.
  • Perform daily process rounds.
  • Troubleshoot Processing System problems as needed, take appropriate corrective actions, and know when to call for assistance.
  • Work with production lines when weekly line sanitizations are performed.
  • Treat waste water streams.
  • Trained and qualified to perform work on the following laboratory equipment for solution testing: (Including calibration)
- pH meter - pH levels

  • Chlorine meter
  • Chlorine levels
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of process equipment and blending areas.
  • Conduct chemical raw material inventories as needed.
  • Perform written and verbal communication with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing personnel using process measurement data recorded in Quality Windows and OutofSpecification (OOS) variable/attribute testing when necessary.
  • Place all nonconforming items on hold using Tufco's Hold/Reject process.
  • Assist in the root cause determination, corrective action taken, and documentation process.
  • Comply with all processes and procedures for all applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Proper handling and disposal of chemicals and understanding the GHS codes
  • A working understanding of the Shop Orders and Bill of Materials.
  • Understand and comply with all lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Must work in a safe and ethical manner at all times.
  • Follow all sanitary practices for sampling of process equipment, materials and assets.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Proficiency with computers and calculators

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience using Microsoft Office products and SPC programs
  • Experience in a chemical handling capacity
  • Experience operating a forklift
