About the Position:

As an Information Systems Specialist, you will perform technical duties to support the department's information systems. This includes providing technical support, managing network infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and installing equipment and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform network administration and maintenance
Provide consulting advice regarding software needs
Design project plans for programming needs

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Associate's degree in Computer Science with an Information Technology Career Certification
Experience in computer systems, systems analysis, or network management

License and Special Requirements:

Must have a valid California driver's license

Recruitment Information:

The department has one vacancy and is establishing an eligibility list for future Information Systems Specialists positions in Tehama County. Testing will be conducted via email, and interviews are tentatively scheduled for July 10, 2024.

The agency does not mandate a COVID-19 vaccination but highly recommends it. Successful candidates will start at the beginning salary level, with possible placement approval from the Board of Supervisors if qualifications exceed entry-level requirements.
