Maryland - Hospitalist

Join this well-established Hospitalist team that provides inpatient care 24/7/365.
They have Intensivists that have 24/7/365 responsibility for the Critical Care Unit.
Their Health System is comprised of over 65 employed physicians and APPs practicing in several locations throughout the region. Their market area extends from the Indian River Bay in Southern Delaware to the north, to the northern portion of the Eastern Shore of Virginia to the south. They have practice locations in Selbyville, DE; Ocean View, DE; West Fenwick Island, DE; Ocean City, MD; Berlin, MD; Ocean Pines, MD; and Pocomoke City, MD. Most of these practices are primary care. Their primary service area is Worcester County, MD

They are currently seeking a Hospitalist who is trained in Family Practice or Internal Medicine to join their dedicated and growing Hospitalist Team.

The Hospitalists use Ingenious Med software to facilitate their billing and productivity, and the Hospital provides support staffing. They also use Allscripts/Altera Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Competitive salary for the initial 2-year contract period would be based upon MGMA data and is above the median for the mid-Atlantic area. Hospitalists are also eligible for Productivity and Quality bonuses.
They provide a comprehensive benefits package and have a matching contribution for their 403(b)-retirement plan. Physicians also have access to a self-funded 457(b) tax deferred savings plan.
They provide $3500 annually for CME expenses.
They provide up to $1,000 annually in reimbursement for medical license fees, board certification fees, etc...
The hospital provides malpractice insurance.
Hospitalists are paid at a rate of time and a half for any major holiday worked (New Year's Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).
Flexible scheduling - They normally have 2 rounding physicians that work 7a7p (sometimes later depending on when they get done with their documentation and billing) and a flex that does admissions and comes in from 10a8p. Right now they do not offer 7 on 7 physicians share the days they want off and normally they accommodate.

Just outside of Ocean City, MD, Hospital offers a progressive hospitalist group in a rural setting. The hospital is located by a beach resort with a growing population boasting award winning schools.
