    Exploring Meaningful Engineering

    HDR seeks a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead project initiatives within our global Control Systems practice. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive control system solutions across various industries and market sectors, encompassing system assessment, design, programming, testing, and maintenance. Specializing in building management and facility support systems, this position requires collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Directing design teams in delivering project packages for multiple concurrent assignments, including specifications editing, instrumentation selection, and control system drawings creation
    • Coordinating control system engineers' efforts throughout projects, ensuring seamless integration with other disciplines, power coordination, and network considerations
    • Managing workload to meet project timelines
    • Monitoring project finances to align with budgetary constraints
    • Engaging in design sessions with clients and maintaining client relations
    • Supervising junior staff and conducting Quality Control (QC) reviews
    • Providing project updates to the Control Systems Section Manager
    Opportunities for Advancement:

    Qualifications

    Essential Requirements
    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
    • PE certification
    • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
    • Practical experience in BMS and network design
    • Familiarity with control systems for building systems and communication protocols
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity aspects in control systems
    • Proficiency in network, PLC or DDC hardware and software, and HMI software
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Desirable experience in Data Centers and Healthcare facilities
    • Expertise in DDC and PLC programming, HMI configuration, networking, and IoT
