**Assistant Manager - Baltimore, MD (Direct Hire

  • Full Time, M-F)**IST Management Services is sourcing for a direct hire, fulltime, Assistant Manager position in Baltimore, MD. This position will work full time hours per day in a financial institution mail room. IST is a rapidly growing business process outsourcing (BPO) company and the largest American privatelyowned facilities management company. Founded in 1997, the company is a twotime recipient of the Human Resources Professional Excellence Award granted by the Society for Human Resource Management. We observe a business professional dress code. Must be willing to cross train for potential advancement opportunities

Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm (need flexibility to cover earlier or afternoon shifts when needed)


NOTE:
As a requirement of this position, the client will perform an extensive review of applicant credit history. Applicant must be able to meet client standards to fill position.


Responsibilities:


Key Responsibilities may include:


  • Maintain effective written and oral communications with clients and employees.
  • Prioritize work and deploy staff as required to ensure customer needs are met in regards to ontime delivery of services and quality of work.
  • Ensures all work standards are met on a consistent basis.
  • Manage the budget and controls expenses.
  • Ensures all work standards are met on a consistent basis by IST site employees.
  • Accurately prepare and distribute management reports to the client in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Insures maximization of productivity through efficient use of standard operating procedures.
  • Develops new procedures to improve the operation of the sites and to lower operating costs.
  • Manages, trains and coaches' employees and develops a work environment that promotes high motivation and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures the proper and safe use of all equipment used by employees and complete tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • One year experience supervising or managing similar operations preferred
  • Litigation Copying/scanning/mailing, Xerox equipment experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and familiarity with computer basics is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and other employees both oneonone and during meetings
  • Knowledge of supervisory techniques to manage, motivate and train employees
  • Ability to prepare reports and present information to customers
  • Must have attention to detail and critically think through and resolve problems
  • Must have customer service skills and be able to maintain a consistent, high level of service
  • Must have ability to multitask, manage multiple accounts and establish priorities
  • A valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation to and from work
  • Lifting up to 55 pounds
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Significant walking
  • Willingness to crosstrain for other job functions
