What You Will Do:


We are seeking an Environmental Test Technician In this role, you will utilize production test equipment to perform testing on aircraft instruments, displays, and computers.

Environmental tests include HASS, thermal and vibration testing.

With mínimal oversight, you will be responsible for following work instructions to set up fixtures and test equipment to test products, as called out in test documents.

Upon completion of a test, you will be required to enter results into our ERP System.

This on-site position is located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. This is a third shift position (11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.). Depending on your experience, you may need to train on 1st (7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 2nd shift (3 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.). You will report directly to the Supervisor of Electronic Assembly and Support.


How You Will Do It:


  • Perform environmental (thermal) testing on aircraft instruments, displays, and computers.
  • Perform vibration tests. Must be able to set up and tear down fixtures per specification.
  • Enter test results into our Failure Report System.
  • Communicate with technicians during daily shift change meetings.

What We Look For:


Required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience working in an environmental or product testing function.
  • Ability to troubleshoot test equipment.
  • Ability to comprehend electronic and mechanical drawings.
  • The ability to use a computer for data entry.
  • Must be detailoriented and have good time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently on assignments.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull vibration fixtures short distances weighing up to 50 pounds.

Desired

  • Associate's degree in an Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical program.
  • Two years of experience in electronics and testing operations.
  • Experience with environmental chambers and vibration tables.
  • Able to work with different software programs: MS Office, DOS, LabVIEW, etc.
