Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus seven (7) years of experience in a related field, including three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- One (1) additional year of education may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience with a maximum substitution of three (3) years.

- Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is Exempt.
- Hours may vary depending on work demands and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
- Real Property Administrator (RPA), or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- IFMA Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Facilities Management Administrator (FMA), or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Certified Property Manager (CPM), or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Certified Green Building Professional (CGBP), or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification, or other green building professional credentials., or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Professional facilities management experience.
Budget development experience as it is related to the facilities field.- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel to more than one work location.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates and supervises the activities of skill craft positions including plumbing, electrical, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), etc., involved in minor construction, building maintenance, and related activities as well as the activities of Building and Grounds (or Custodial) staff or program.
- Responds to occupant needs and ensures that administrative, building, technical, and custodial staff resolves problems.
- Ensures that all services provided to properties are in compliance with City of Austin (COA) and Building Services policies, procedures, regulations, contractual obligations, and standards.
- Conducts periodic property inspections, recommending and/or approving alterations, maintenance, and reconditioning.
- Contracts for and supervises vendor services as required.
- Serves as primary contact with occupant department specific points of contact (SPOCs) and Building Services senior management.
