The MSITM Director/Lecturer is a full-time onsite position reporting directly to the Head of the Department Iof nformation Systems and Supply Chain Management in the Bryan School of Business and Economics, UNC Greensboro. The successful candidate will work with the chair of the Department's Graduate Programs Committee and with faculty in Information Systems and Supply Chain Management Department to further the program's objectives. Primary areas of responsibility include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in information systems, advising graduate students with their plans of study and supporting their professional development, and alumni outreach. The exact mix of teaching and administrative responsibilities for this position will be based upon the candidate's qualifications and departmental needs.

In addition, the successful candidate will maintain and update program documents, assist with marketing and recruiting graduate students into department programs, communicate with MSITM and Certificate students including prospective, pending, admitted, and enrolled students, regarding courses and academic progress, actively promote the accelerated master's program and administer necessary paperwork for admitted students. In addition, the position may require administering surveys to graduating students, maintaining alumni databases, and conducting alumni outreach. Duties shall also include supporting professional outreach programs and initiatives in collaboration with Bryan School's Office of External Affairs. The program director position is responsible for submitting recommendations for fellowships and scholarships, including recommending graduate assistants (GAs) in consultation with the Department Head and chair of the MSITM Committee and managing the process by maintaining accurate records of GA assignments, budgets and monitoring I-9 requirements for GAs. This position will oversee and provide support for responsibilities related to submitting reports for gainful employment of graduate students, data for ranking by organizations such as US News & World Report, and managing processes related to the accreditation and assurance of learning of programs.

Minimum Qualifications

A Master's Degree in Information Systems or a closely related field

Recent and relevant professional experience in the information systems area

Minimum of five years of relevant work experience.

The ideal candidate is a team player with effective communication, organization, and planning skills.
