  • Salary range: $37, $46, The Administration for Children's Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages communitybased supports and foster care services and provides subsidized childcare vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment. In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement and programs for youth in the community.
  • ACS' Division of Child and Family Wellbeing (CFWB) designs and executes strategies to support caregivers, children, and communities, so they can thrive and enjoy selfdetermination. A critical piece of CFWB's portfolio is the operation of the City's subsidized childcare voucher system one of the largest childcare assistance programs in the country. ACS providers vouchers to tens of thousands of lowincome and child welfareinvolved families, allowing parents and caregivers to access affordable childcare at the provider of their choice while they pursue work, education, or training.
  • CFWB has three (3) boroughbased Resource Areas (RAs) responsible for verifying and recertifying the eligibility of all low income (nonTANF) families for voucher childcare services. This includes Eligibility Determination and Administrative which includes Intake, Data Entry and Scanning & Indexing.
  • DE/SI Staff conduct the data entry of case and child information into the Automated Childcare Information System (ACCIS) and scanning & indexing childcare documents into the HRA One Viewer and also enters authorized hours into the Web Enrollment System (WES). The DE/SI staff also liaise with the eligibility staff and team leaders to ensure the accuracy of childcare information data entered in the appropriate systems.
  • Data entry, updating and maintenance of case and program information in the childcare database of record, the Automated Childcare Information System (ACCIS)
  • Dataenter case information into Control Log and close out data entry/filing tab
  • Scan all eligibility documents into the HRA One Viewer.
  • Index all case materials and place all scanned document images into appropriate electronic folders
  • Preparation and mailing of documents to families and communitybased programs/providers
  • Liaise with RA/other Operations staff to distribute completed case files to respective eligibility units for review and followup
  • Oversee and perform asneeded maintenance of Resource Area's filing system, organize, purge and maintain/retrieve files
  • Liaise with Fair Hearing Unit to provide materials and information
  • Prepare and distribute appropriate communications to parents and programs
  • Assists with special projects, as needed
