Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching both in our formal didactic lecture program as well as in the informal teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in the Operating Rooms.
Clinical responsibilities may include direct patient care and medical direction in the Operating Rooms and other anesthetizing locations at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
The major emphasis of the Academic Clinician track is ongoing teaching and clinical excellence, and a sustained record of professionalism.
The expectation is that there will be a chosen area of concentration that include, but are not limited to, education, clinical operations, community service, quality and safety, health equity, diversity and inclusion, health policy, and global health to name a few.
Evidence of academic productivity and leadership in projects related to an area of focus will be required.Candidates can learn more about faculty tracks at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania:
