Description

The Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining the financial records for the property and assisting the Property Manager with the operation of the property.

This position requires excellent computer skills, the ability to communicate effectively with residents, prospects and vendors and to present a positive, professional image while assisting in the management of the property.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Assists all residents and applicants
  • Collects all deposits and rent and issues receipts as needed
  • Posts all necessary entries in the accounting system regarding
payments received

  • Prepares and sends notices of returned checks, late rent reminders
and other correspondence

  • Contacts residents regarding balances owed and collects payment
  • Ensures that lease files are complete
  • Prepares and maintains receipt journals, monthly rent roll,
delinquency report, etc.

  • Provides leasing assistance to applicants and answers incoming calls
  • Assists residents by providing outstanding customer service

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of prior experience as an Assistant Property Manager
in the multi-family industry

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Yardi software preferred
