Description
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other grant-making organizations that align with the organization's mission and programs,
both locally and nationally. - Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to understand funding needs and develop grant
and budget proposals that effectively communicate the organization's goals, objectives, and outcomes. - Write compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents, ensuring adherence to funder guidelines and deadlines.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of grant opportunities, submissions, and outcomes.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders, program officers, and other stakeholders to enhance grant-seeking efforts and maximize funding opportunities.
- Support the monitoring and tracking of grant progress, including reporting requirements, grant expenditures, and outcomes evaluation.
- Assist in the development of strategic fundraising plans and initiatives to diversify revenue streams and support organizational sustainability.
- Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and changes in the grant-making landscape to inform grant-seeking strategies and maximize success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a track record of successfully securing grants for nonprofit organizations.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals.
- Strong research skills, including the ability to identify relevant funding opportunities and gather pertinent information from various sources.
- Familiarity with nonprofit budgeting and financial management principles.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management, grant management and donor relations software.
- Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for social justice and community development.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a nonprofit or philanthropic organization.
- Knowledge of specific issue areas or sectors relevant to our organization's mission (e.g., disability, education, healthcare).
- Familiarity with fundraising strategies and donor cultivation techniques.
- Grant writing certification or professional development training.

$55, $65,000.00 per year
