- Installation of fences, pumping water, carrying construction materials, shoveling or racking soils, flagging, fueling equipment, equipment watch, snow removal, hand excavation around facilities and erosion control installation.
- Assisting with the maintenance of equipment, vehicles and tools.
- Notifying the Foreman or Supervisor of any equipment deficiencies.
- Performing any other duty or task as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor and/or Foreman.
- A minimum of 2 years experience and relevant field experience within the pipeline construction industry.
- High school degree, diploma or a GED.
- Identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Manage own time as directed by the Supervisor or Site Foreman.
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Tasks require variety of physical activities, generally involving muscular strain, such as walking, standing, stooping, and reaching to include walking and standing 100% of the time.
- Frequent activities requiring handling and grasping with the hands to turn wrenches and valves.
- Occasional use of arms to reach above the head and will occasionally work on ladders and climb stairs.
- Frequent lifting and pulling of up to 50 lbs., and occasional lifting and pulling of 50 lbs. or more.
- Exposure to flammables will exposure to the elements 100% of the time.
- Common eye, hand, finger, leg and foot dexterity exist.
- Communicating, hearing and seeing required for completion of essential functions.
- Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, discriminating thinking and some creative problem solving.
- Some daily aspects of the job pose threats or hazards capable of producing severe physical injury.
- Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
- Exposure to construction sites.
- Outside work and exposure to outside elements 100% of the time.
- Work hours are 12 hours per day.
- Complies with Strike's policies and procedures.
- Complies with Strike's Drug & Alcohol Policy maintaining favorable drug testing results throughout employment.
- Performs job safely with respect to others, property and individual safety.
- Works effectively with others to encourage teamwork and productivity.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
