Description

Insight Global is hiring a Senior Revenue Analyst, responsible for oversight of the financial operations pertaining to our large renewable energy client's wind and solar energy portfolios.

This includes managing revenue and settlements, analyzing data from various sources, interpreting contractual agreements, ensuring accurate financial settlements, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

Analyze and comprehend billing and accounting procedures from Power Purchase Agreements.
Evaluate contract terms against transaction details, identifying discrepancies and suggesting necessary amendments.
Reconcile transactional billing with counterparties and grid operators, adhering to contract schedules.
Audit balance sheet accounts, including accounts receivable, deferred revenue, collateral, and derivatives.
Determine and communicate any adjustments or corrections needed in the general ledger to the relevant teams.
Generate reports on revenue and accounts receivable.
Investigate and resolve complex billing issues and follow up on pending payments.
Analyze financial data to identify significant trends and report key findings to management.
Conduct detailed queries in energy trading systems to support internal and external inquiries.
Validate and finalize transactions for power, emissions, and renewable energy credits with business clients.
Collaborate with internal departments to prepare and update FERC filings and reports.
Provide support to operational staff, corporate teams, auditors, vendors, and consultants.
Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and handle special requests and projects as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in a similar role
ASC606 knowledge
Strong familiarity with FERC revenue filings
Related background in Power/Energy/Utilities
Advanced ability to read and analyze contracts
A solid understanding of accounting and finance principles
Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Knowledge of GAAP
Experience with specific financial software such as CommoditesXL and PowerOptix
Advanced data visualization or database management tools
Experience with settlement processes across various ISOs and complex power purchase agreements

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
