The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and tax obligations, supporting the accounting/payroll team, and maintaining accurate payroll schedules.

Expertise in payroll regulations and software, excellent organizational, motivated and fast learning. Must have previous restaurant experience.


POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage and guarantee weekly payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to 700+ employees
  • Supervise, develop and payroll staff.
  • Review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to bestpractices
  • Collaborate and communicate with the operation teams to ensure correct hours and tips are reported.
  • Communicate actively with Operations, HR and Accounting departments
  • Partner with HR and benefits to verify compliance
  • Ensure systems reflect our current employee base, including wages, available benefits, sick and PTO
  • Prepare regular relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearend reports
  • Improve processes and make suggestions to improve collaboration and relevance of payroll information.
  • Assist payroll system integration with Accounting System.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:


  • Minimum 3 years of payroll experience at the Payroll Management level
  • Experience with Payroll systems such as Paycom/Paycor/ADP
  • Familiarity with Wage works, 401K reportings, Benefits
  • On
  • Site only work (no remote), at corporate office in Midtown Manhattan
  • Demonstrated knowledge of California and Federal Labor laws, pay practices and policies experience
  • Strong payroll and time and attendance systems experience
  • Strong work ethic and ability to be productive and successful in a fastpaced work environment
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized
  • Proficient in Excel. Ability to analyze payroll and timekeeping data in Excel
  • Prior system conversion experience, helpful but not required 4 year degree in Accounting,Finance or Business Administration
