Flag Football Sports Coach - After School
Job Summary
The BNA Sports Youth Sports Development Coach Contractor will work 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) for 2 hours per day from 4:00pm-6:00pm at a designated Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida location (Orlando area).
Main responsibilities will focus on the execution of Flag Football coaching, and leading flag football drills and stations with youth from ages 6-12.
Must collaborate with other coaches to enhance the overall BNA Sports Youth Sports experience for youth.Schedule & Compensation:
- Dates:
- Days of the Week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3 days per week)
- Location: Boys & Girls Clubs (multiple)
- Shift: 4:00pm 6:00pm *Must be able to commit to all 3 days of the week* $25/hour stipend (this is a Contractor position)
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Coach youth sports after school participants individually and in groups
- Utilize a variety of appropriate strategies and resources to develop youth sports skills
- Evaluate the individual development of athlete football skills
- Promote BNA Sports Youth Sports Development Program
- Ability to plan individual skill stations and drills
- Demonstrate knowledge of the area being coached
- Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of youth participants
- Demonstrate the ability to adjust instruction of strategy and fundamentals to youth participant's needs and interests
- Practice and promote positive interaction with and among youth participants
- Use positive reinforcement and constructive criticism to maintain good athlete discipline
- Ability to prepare comprehensive football development plans
- Other duties as assigned or as directed by BNA Sports Organization
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to assist in station setup and breakdown which may require frequent lifting and/or
- Youth Sports training required
- At least 2 years of coaching experience (professional, collegiate, interscholastic, or youth)
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Successful prior experience with youth development
- Ability to coach male and female athletes
- Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple projects
- Excellent in communicating, engaging, and interacting with youth ages 61
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Lively, outgoing, positive, hardworking, and be willing to work in a fast pace environment
- Flexible and capable in the ability to lead and be led
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
