The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 2-year apprenticeship as an Industrial Electrician (m/f/d) for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH in Freiburg (Breisgau).

The vocational school and training workshop are also located in Freiburg.

During your apprenticeship, you will become a specialist in the installation and modernization of our high-voltage systems and overhead lines.

You will also learn how to maintain technical systems, such as renovating overhead lines and replacing power lines and insulators.

You will become familiar with the basics of electricity, including the relationship between voltage and current, as well as electrical parameters and equipment.

You will also learn how to install and wire control and measurement devices, and how to properly evaluate technical documents.

Safety regulations and workplace safety will also be emphasized.

To be considered for this apprenticeship, you should have completed (or will soon complete) your education.

You should have a strong understanding of math and physics, as well as good manual dexterity and a passion for tinkering in your free time.

Your dedicated and meticulous work ethic, as well as your ability to work well in a team and outdoors, will make you a great fit for this position.
