Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the service department, including service advisors, technicians, and support staff, to ensure efficient and effective service operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize service department performance, including customer satisfaction, service quality, and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze service department metrics, such as customer satisfaction scores, service revenue, and technician productivity, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance and individual growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and parts, to ensure seamless coordination and communication for exceptional customer service.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in automotive service management, and implement relevant changes to enhance service department operations.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of customer service and client retention by resolving customer complaints or concerns immediately and appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in automotive service management with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to achieve common goals.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive service operations, including repair and maintenance processes, warranty procedures, and service pricing strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, develop effective solutions, and implement process improvements.
  • Proficiency in using automotive service management software and tools to track and analyze service department performance.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines without compromising service quality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
$180,000 - $210,000 per year.
