Responsibilities

  • Coordinate month, quarter, and yearend closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting efforts.
  • Coordinate and oversee the annual external audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries as needed.
  • Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Collaborate on cost/inventory accounting functions as needed.
  • Support financial planning process through strategic plan, financial plan, and quarterly forecast processes.
  • Deliver presentations that tell the story; summarize key insights for leaders.
  • Evaluate financial results to analyze the financial impact of operating results, highlighting risks and opportunities as well as providing strategic and tactical recommendations to leaders.
  • Oversee insurance and risk management.
  • Hire, train, and retain finance staff.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Director of Finance.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Indepth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Proficient in MS Office and financial management software.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prepare documentation required for financial assistance awards (grants and cooperative agreements).
  • Interacting with highlevel contacts such as Program Directors concerning grant and cooperative agreements.
  • Experience working with BPO for finance and accounting support
  • CPA or MBA

$150,000/year to $170,000/year + equity + benefits
