The Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra (SHFO), founded in 1987 by Leonard Bernstein, offers aspiring professional musicians between the ages of 18 and 26 the opportunity to practice orchestral playing at the highest level and perform at the festival for seven weeks each summer with renowned artists. The members of the ensemble, which is one of the most prestigious youth orchestras in the world, are selected through auditions from over 1000 international applicants and come from up to 30 nations. Since 2004, the Principal Conductor has been Christoph Eschenbach.

We are currently seeking employees for the Orchestra Office, Artist Support, and Stage Logistics departments in the Orchestra Management of SHFO for the season of 2024, from June 2, 2024 to August 22, 2024.

These are your responsibilities:

Orchestra Office

Supporting orchestra musicians during rehearsals, concerts, and daily activities
Providing visitor services and communicating with the audience before and during public orchestra rehearsals
Coordinating interviews, assisting journalists and television crews, managing social media
Organizing and maintaining the orchestra's music library, setting up orchestral scores
