We Are Hiring:

Facilities Operations Technician

As a Facility Operations Technician at Micron Technology, located in Manassas, VA, you will be responsible for independently executing both routine and complex tasks associated with the operation and maintenance of industrial equipment including chillers, pumps, air handlers, piping, valves, and water treatment equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and Maintain Site Mechanical Systems
  • Coordinate repair activities across different disciplines
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, maintenance, management, and customers regarding equipment status
  • Manage assigned work scheduling
  • Investigate equipment failures to identify root cause
  • Participate in vendor training
  • Adhere to manufacturers' recommendations
  • Author, review, and update procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of systems and subsystems
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement and Reliability Initiatives
  • Work as part of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams
  • Collaborate with engineers to drive system improvements
  • Participate in the commissioning of new system installations
  • Ensure site spares inventory accuracy in collaboration with procurement
  • Complete work documentation promptly and accurately
  • Log entries in the work order system
  • Review and request changes to Job Plans associated with the PM program

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent industrial equipment experience
  • Strong knowledge of industrial facilities systems and related disciplines
  • Customer service orientation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer skills including spreadsheets and PowerPoint
  • High level of self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision
