The Opportunity:


This role is a member of the Project Finance team that comprises the critical Project Finance portfolio management and reporting foundation of all lending origination and underwriting activity.


As an Analyst in this team your primary responsibility will be the ongoing management of the Project Finance loan portfolio, with an emphasis on credit monitoring, analytics and internal reporting.


Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:

  • Prepare and submit quarterly and annual credit reviews/packages;
  • Review and compare financial performance to budget, evaluate financial projections and remodel forecast (as needed);
  • Compile and participate in quarterly Credit Risk Management ("CRM") portfolio reviews;
  • Assist in the execution and preparation of amendment and waiver requests, aide in writing credit modifications, submit to risk and address Q&A, and followup on the required legal documentation;
  • Assess and track compliance of borrowing bases, collateral, liquidity/availability, covenants and other reporting items (i.e. UCC filings, insurance, etc.) in line with the bank's policy and procedures
  • Perform and review risk ratings for borrowers;
  • Prepare quarterly memorandums for challenging/underperforming credits;
  • Prepare and maintain reports as requested by regulators, rating agencies and other external parties;
  • Maintain various department and industry databases/trackers;
  • Maintain internal portfolio tracking metrics;
  • Respond to ad hoc internal requests on portfolio composition and exposure;
  • Coordinate and work with offshore portfolio support teams;
  • Research industry sectors and work with industry coverage colleagues to prepare updates;
  • Assume key role in handling internal system processing (Vantage) including GRID, FINAN, TSC, Risk Rater
  • Monitor and identify market developments and proactively manage their potential impacts on the portfolio
  • Coordinate timely and accurate responseto internal and external regulatory controls and audits by providing the required insights, reports and samples and by participating in the dialogue if so requested
  • Stay uptodate on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e. Risk, Legal, etc.) to ensure appropriate protocols are implemented and followed, and facilitate accordingly
  • Coordinate with KYC/CDD team
  • Assist the team in the execution of new transactions, amendments and refinancings on an asneeded basis

Profile:


Qualifications / Education:
BA/BS in finance/economics/accounting/management/engineering (or similar); CFA a plus


Experience / Knowledge:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience credit/accounting/business analytics/project management/portfolio reporting and/or KYC/Compliance.
  • Formal credit training and financial projection knowledge required.
  • Prior Project Finance and/or energy and commodies finance experience a plus.
  • Spanish proficiency a plus.

Competencies:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills with the ability to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/ written communication skills to ensure effective communication with various local and global teams
  • Excellent Microsoft skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Experience working with large data (Pivots, V-Lookups) is valued
  • Credit training preferred
  • You are highly detailed in your work
  • You are selfmotivated and willing to work in a deal oriented and deadline driven environment
  • You are able to manage and prioritize competing demands from multiple colleagues simultaneously
  • You desire to work in a collaborative manner in contribution of team objectives

Base Salary range:
$105 - $115K
