Job Description Sales Coordinator SA ) **Description**
**PURPOSE OF POSITION:**
**Assists Sales and Catering sales managers in all facets of the sales/marketing/service process by typing, copying, faxing, mailing, distributing and filing related correspondence as well as answering and responding appropriately to incoming telephone calls.**
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
50% Enters data to produce contracts, correspondence, forms, memorandums, STS and OnQ management system updates, and other documents.
25% Answers telephone and responds to caller inquiries. Exercises decision-making skills to direct callers based on requests. Accurately records and distributes messages. Communicates with other hotel associates to relay pertinent sales related information.
15% Organizes, files, distributes, faxes, and other essential functions necessary in the daily department operation.
5% Acts as liaison between Sales and Catering Manager(s) and clients in Sales and Catering Manager's absence.
5% Relieves receptionist at lunch and off days as needed, and performs supportive functions during the absence of other sales and catering assistants.
Knowledgeable of brand standards, service standards, SALT expectations.
**MANDITORY JOB REQUIREMENTS:**
1. Good communication skills, both written and oral.
2. Excellent organizational skill, multitasking skill.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
4. Ability to input data into a word processor at a minimum rate of 40 w.p.m.
5. Basic secretarial knowledge such as business letters, formats, and telephone etiquette.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
**ACCOUNTABILITY:**
1. Error-proof correspondence.
2. Work completed in a timely fashion.
**EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED:**
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, typing, and communication skills and abilities. High school diploma required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
