Allied Universal Services is currently searching for a
Access Control Supervisor.

Must be 21+ years of age with a Valid Driver's License & Must have excellent computer skills and previous supervisor experience.


Job Summary:


The Access Control Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising all aspects of access control systems and personnel within the access control team, ensuring the security and safety of the company's facilities.

This role oversees access permissions, maintains system operations, and supports process improvements.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • 21+ Years of age
  • Proven experience in access control systems and security management.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic access control systems and security technologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform securityrelated duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage access permissions for company employees, contractors, and visitors.


System Management and Improvement:

Lead process improvement initiatives related to access control systems.

Coordinate system upgrades and serve as the primary contact for vendor interactions regarding access management systems.


Access Level Compliance:


  • Set up and maintain appropriate access levels for spaces across company sites in accordance with directives from the Director of Security and crossfunctional stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures.
  • Badge Terminal Operations:
  • Maintain the operational integrity of badge terminals and related supplies to support daily operations.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Access Controls Analysts in case of issues.

Issue Identification and Resolution:


  • Identify and address issues related to badging processes and equipment.
  • Communicate identified issues to relevant stakeholders and work with vendors to resolve them.
  • Audits and Compliance:
  • Perform access control audits as prescribed by the security council.
  • Escalate instances of noncompliance to appropriate parties for resolution.

Record Keeping:


  • Maintain termination statistics and other relevant reports for the Access Control Manager System, including records of issued and terminated badges.
  • Support System Improvement Projects:
  • Assist with system improvement projects and upgrades as needed to enhance security and efficiency.

Training of new Badge Access Specialists:


  • Develop and conduct training programs for newly hired Badge Access Specialists.
  • Ensure that new hires are wellversed in access control procedures and systems.
  • Ensuring complete coverage throughout all shifts (scheduling) and avoiding any dark hours

Scheduling:


  • Create and maintain a comprehensive scheduling system to ensure 24/7 coverage.
  • Minimize gaps in coverage to prevent security vulnerabilities during offhours.
  • Training and identity of Back Up Badge Access Specialists:
  • Identify and provide training to designated backup Badge Access Specialists.
  • Ensure that backups can assume responsibilities when needed.
  • Delegating responsibilities and duties to staff provided by Site FTEs:
  • Delegate tasks and duties to staff provided by Site Full-Time Employees (FTEs) as needed.
  • Monitor their performance and ensure alignment with security protocols.

Disciplinary Action and Counseling:


  • Enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Address employee performance issues through counseling, corrective actions, and, when necessary, disciplinary measures.

Communication:


  • Maintain open channels of communication with onsite management from Allied Universal Security (AUS) and the Rivian client.
  • Share relevant information, address concerns, and handle client requests promptly.
