Security Analyst - Washington, United States - Synchron, LLC
Description
Responsibilities:
- Draft Security Classification Guides (SCGs) in accordance with DoD Manual Volume 1: DoD Information Security Program Overview and DoD Manual Instructions for Developing Security Classification Guides.
- Participate in program and project planning efforts to evaluate the need for security requirements.
- Prepare SCG staff packages for routing and approval.
- Facilitate a standardized and efficient classification management program at the Unclassified, Controlled, SECRET, and TOP SECRET.
- Review classification guidance generated for new or ongoing programs to ensure that specific and correct guidance is available to users.
- Develop and implement guidelines to meet Department of Navy and DoD regulations.
- As required, review intelligence and counterintelligence reports, assess security vulnerabilities, and design security program planning, implementation, evaluation, and modification efforts.
- Participate in Program Protection Plan working groups.
- Use initiative in independently carrying out assignments and facilitating coordination across Security Divisions, Foreign Disclosure Office, Combat Develop and Integration Command.
- Exhibit technical judgement and make extensive unreviewed recommendations.
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience directly related to analyzing and/or drafting SCGs
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.
- US Citizen.
- Active DoD SECRET with TOP SECRET eligibility security clearance.
- Experience with the full range of Microsoft Office Suite products
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 25 years of directly related experience
Work Location:
Vicinity of Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC
Travel:
Less than 10%
