Description

What You Will Do:


  • Use the JD Edwards development toolset to develop new solutions to meet business needs and improve processes while considering solutions that have mínimal impact to the outofthebox ERP system.
  • Design and develop software from documented requirements.
  • Provide system support and issue resolution as needed, both during and outside of business hours.
  • Work with Business Analysts and end users or SME (Subject Matter Expert) to understand business needs and define requirements.
  • Act as Business Analyst on small projects.
  • Coordinate planned downtime with mínimal disruption to the business; clearly communicate such timelines to the business.
  • Create documentation for use by others in IT to support and maintain the system.
  • Use business and technical knowledge to analyze, research and provide an accurate estimate for a solution that meets business needs.
  • Meet project deadlines as defined.
  • Consistently follow the software development lifecycle.
  • Accomplish multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality in the high level of detail required.
  • Monitor data integrity and coordinate corrections to the database via JDE programs and through SQL as necessary.
  • Administer and support third party software as assigned (InfoShip, EasyPay, Crystal Reports, BI Publisher, Stratum, Vertex, etc.).
  • Research issues using outside resources including My Oracle Support, Oracle Community, Learn JDE, vendors and user groups.
  • Develop and maintain JDE jobs in Visual Cron.
  • Attend JDE user group meetings and conferences.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvements
  • Support customer and order integrations processes
  • Onboard new team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent level of education and experience
  • Experience with JDE Development preferred
  • One to five years in IT Software Development preferred
  • Proven experience with Microsoft SQL.
  • Proven experience using SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Knowledge in computer programming C#.
  • Database knowledge, methodology & systems.

Position Travel Requirements:


  • 5% or less

Typical Work Schedule:


  • Normal business hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Some offhour work may be necessary to oversee deploy of system changes or major system issues.
  • On call every 3rd week to respond to system alerts and monitor any issues with day end processing jobs.

FLSA Status:


  • Exempt, not eligible for overtime pay

Peak Work Time Requirements:


  • Position typically requires hours a week. Peak work times include November through January, when 4550 hours a week is typical.

Working Conditions:


  • General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment.
