QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate with Computer Skills and ability to communicate both verbally and written formats.

At Least One Year Staffing Longterm Care Experience

***: Prepares the schedule of the nurses and nurses aides on a monthly basis and assist with staffing changes.


PART 1:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS:


PERFORMANCE

  • Weekly transposes hours from time cards to employee's work records.
  • Weekly monitors lateness, sick days, absenteeism, LOA and MD notes.
  • Extrapolates, analyzes and corrects any payroll problems, discrepancies and/ or questions.
  • Monitors all time for weekly State Nursing hours.
  • Yearly
  • Monitors previous years' sick days
- and transposes on new work record.


  • Coordinate staffing needs with outside staffing agencies, as needed.
  • Monitor and reconcile staffing agencies' hours
  • Maintain records/profiles of outside agencies staff
  • Assists with staffing changes.
  • Weekly staffing Sheet
  • Maintain & controls overtime on a consistent basis
  • Post monthly staffing schedule timely.
  • Ability to prepare written reports when requested.
  • Answers telephone and take messages
  • Daily Filing




PART II:

  • Arrives for work on time as scheduled on a consistent basis. Uses time effectively.
  • Adheres to departmental dress codes.
  • Knows and understands policy and procedure on abuse.
  • Acts in professional manner at all times.
  • Knows responsibility & procedure in emergencies.
  • Assumes accountability for all data contained in the Employee Handbook.




PART III:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:


  • Demonstrate ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Must be able to write & speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to see & hear or use prosthesis that will enable these senses to function.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, and move intermittently during working hours.
  • Ability to relate and work with the physically and emotionally challenged resident.
