    Job Description || THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY BEING PIPELINED IN PREPARATION FOR THE ANTICIPATED DEMAND FOR CANDIDATES || Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Systems Architect at GDIT.

    Our work depends on Systems Architect joining our team to help modernize a critical legacy application by leveraging a modern low-code/no-code platform.


    HOW A SYSTEMS ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

    • Lead/facilitate solutioning discussions with the customer and vendor.
    • Identify system interface requirements and develop solution to meet the requirements, including creation of technical architecture diagrams.
    • Ensure technical teams understand short term and long-term goals of the program and business efforts by facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
    • Work with business units to understand long-term system vision and create the technical implementation strategy to ensure scalability and long-term organization growth.
    • Help clarify requirements and propose solutions that meet business milestones as well as directing the technical implementations.
    • Engage current customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to achieve desired results.
    • Identify and select the best technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual requirements.
    • Lead solution design and the development of key artifacts including, but not limited to architectural models, process diagrams, concepts of operation, etc.
    • Will jump in when necessary to help diagnose larger system issues and work with project managers to confidently complete projects on time.
    • Additional tasks will include helping to determine high-level and detailed estimates, creating technical workflow and other supporting documentation to help drive the implementation of large enterprise systems projects as well as helping to implement best practices around technical development and deployment.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    Education:

    • BA/BS degree (computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software)

    Experience:
    * 15+ years of technical leadership experience

    • 5+ years of proven experience developing Pega technologies

    Required Technical Skills:

    • Experience with API Web Services (REST, SOAP)
    • One Pega Certification: Pega Certified Lead System Architect (PCLSA), Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA), or Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)
    • Thorough understanding of and experience in software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodology
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills (both technical and non-technical)

    Security Clearance Level:

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
    • The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.

    Location:

    • Onsite in Washington, D.C. or Falls Church, VA.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
