Hourly Range:
$25-to-$30/hourly

*Full-Time workers have a set schedule that averages 30 or more hours a week.

**Part-time workers usually have a schedule made in advance, but you may only know your hours a few days in advance. There are no minimum or maximum hours for part-time work except that over a six-month period (180 days) part-time work will not average more than 30 hours a week. You usually do not have to work outside of the scheduled hours.


Job Developer:


Responsibilities:


Engage clients and establish trusting, collaborative relationships directed towards the goal of competitive employment in community job settings with other workers who do not necessarily have disabilities.


Critical Job Duties:


  • The Job Developer overall function is to provide the services of the Employment Program by assisting clients to obtain and maintain employment that is consistent with their vocational goals.
  • The Job Developer provides support to individuals with barrierstoemployment to enhance their strengths and improve their job skills. Clients are persons with barrierstoemployment who require support for career training or people with disabilities who need assistance in functioning in a workplace.
  • It is critical for the Job Developer to keep records and documentation and prepare mandated reporting. Specific records requirements for the Job Developer is the Apricot Case Management System (CMS).

Job Duties:


  • The Job Developer must be a mentor eager to support their fellow people. You must be able to discover people's strengths and weaknesses and identify with them what works best for them. Having communication skills partnered with critical thinking are prerequisites for this job. As staff that interacts with the people we serve, you will be utilizing consistent personcentered questions and dialog in those engagements to mutually develop the need of the individual.
  • The Job Developer effort includes developing effective job coaching and training support while communicating with clients to understand their goals and ambitions. Assist clients to discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals while assessing the strengths of individuals and teach them to use their strengths effectively. The Job Developer guides clients in learning to complete tasks while providing support in the development of motivation and skills.
  • The Job Developer may engage employer contacts to generate job openings. Employer contacts are designed for the Job Developer to learn about the needs of the business, describe supports offered by the program and describe client strengths that are relevant to the position.
  • The Job Developer writes job support plans with clients and incorporates input from the employment team.
  • The Job Developer adjusts plans according to the clients' needs and preferences; Provides education and support to employers as agreed upon by clients, to include negotiating job accommodations and followalong contact with the employer; Provides outreach services as necessary to clients when they appear to disengage from the services. Uses a variety of methods to provide outreach.
  • The Job Developer participates in weekly meetings with the employment team and communicates individually with team members between meetings to coordinate and integrate vocational services.
  • Participates in facetoface or virtual meetings with vocational rehabilitation to coordinate services for clients. Develops an individual employment (and/or education) plan with clients. Creates input with employment team and, with permission, family members.
  • This position is a key position in the CARF accreditation process as required by the companies' vendorization contract with the California Department of Rehabilitation. The Job Developer will, as requested, actively participate in the CARF accreditation process and actively implement and maintain personcentered thinking, planning, and practice within the Employment Training and Placement lineofbusiness.

Duties & Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of the Bay Area business climate such as Alameda County's ACWIB and TVCC Priority Sectors (Activities & Performance Measures). Knowledge of CalJOBS, USAJobs, CalCareers, San Francisco ACE Program or similar employment bulletin boards.
