- Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant IT Project Management matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.
- Responsible for managing, directing and planning multiple complex projects, or occasionally one highly-complex project, consisting of one or more project teams.
- Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and assigning project tasks, team building, maintaining working relationships with client functional areas outside of IT.
- Applies project development methodologies and reporting techniques to indicate project status.
- May manage and direct one or more project teams of project managers, specialists, analysts and programmers to meet complex project objectives. Reviews, evaluates and formulates project plans, schedules and budgets.
- Allocates staff and budget resources to meet changing corporate needs. Identifies and negotiates schedules, milestones and resources required to meet project objectives.
- Organizes and guides project operations through the use of methodologies accepted by the industry.
- Evaluates progress and reports progress in terms of quality and performance metrics common to IT projects.
- Modifies schedules as required. Works with client departments to coordinate systems testing, installation, training and support.
- Keeps informed of technical and managerial advances in IT.
- Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
- Responsible for delivery and success of value stream's initiatives from a holistic viewpoint;
- In collaboration with the value stream leads, drive decisions around prioritization of the work;
- Collaborate and facilitate communication and meetings with team members and value stream management leads to assure full alignment. Define schedules, identify dependences, develop solutions to business problems, and provide updates as priorities and schedules change.
- Oversee governance structure across teams and products within value stream management. Manage risk mitigation and contingency plans. Drive activities to achieve aligned goals;
- Ensure appropriate release plan and status is reflected in tool (i.e. CA Agile Central). Conduct presentations regarding delivery and product status to cross functional IT teams and business/domain stakeholders;
- Provide assistance to IT team members with issues needing technical expertise or complex systems knowledge. Mentor team to improve their understanding and skill;
- Agile Certifications or related experience required
- Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in project and program management;
- Knowlegde of Cloud Enviornemnts such as AWS or Azure
- Experience in Information Protection or Infrstructure projects preferred
- Proven track record of leading enterprise scale, complex projects successfully;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across a variety of audiences;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities;
- Proficiency to include MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong, independent decision-making ability;
- Ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a willingness to learn areas of technology and business;
- Highly collaborative individual with the ability to influence others and builds strong personal relationships;
- Proficiency to include MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
- Excellent oral and written communication.
