Billing Administrator
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Owner and Executive Director, the Billing Administrator is responsible for supervising billing and collections operations and provide support to billing assistants for the achievement of the organization's mission, goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and supervise billing functions in integrated systems
- Accurately submit and/or ensure claims are submitted by monthly deadlines; ensure assistants submit claims on time
- Oversee client accounts on a regular basis and identify outstanding debts
- Searching each financial statement for any payment inconsistencies or errors
- Collaborate with clients, third party institutions and other members of company to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors
- Create invoices and billing materials for client funding entity; calculating and tracking various company financial statements/documents
- Proactively determine solutions for handling unique billing situations
- Verify documentation to support billing claims
- Ensure billing notes & signatures are on file to ensure compliance with funding regulations
- Supervise accounts to identify unresolved debts; follow up with funding entity on overdue accounts
- Investigate historical data for each debt or bill
- Find and contact clients for overdue payments
- Take actions to encourage timely debt payments
- Track payments and identify items of collections
- Resolve billing and customer credit issues
- Update account status records and collection efforts
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
- Complete variety of other tasks, as needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Analyze information
- Knowledge of State and Federal policies, including HIPAA, in regards to retention of employee records
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctual
- Ability to maintain moderately complex records and ensure their confidentiality
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
EDUCATION:
- 45 years' professional experience
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's or Masters preferred

Pay:
Up to $24.00 per hour
