Southeast Industrial Equipment is looking for a
Diesel Technician for our Hampton Roads Branch

  • Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical equipment, performs repairs and scheduled maintenance work based on customer needs and requirements.
  • Analyzes and diagnoses customer equipment problems and breakdowns. Recommends the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems.
  • Makes necessary repairs to customer and SHIE forklifts and industrial, material handling and people moving equipment.
  • Examines safety devices, equipment and systems on equipment making adjustments as needed.
  • Provides preventative maintenance, including lubricating moving parts.
  • Drives and operates repaired truck to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Observes all SIE and customer policies and safety procedures. Assures that hazardous waste is properly disposed.
  • Accurately and neatly documents all work. Submits all paperwork in a timely fashion or at completion of each job.
  • Efficiently performs scheduled equipment maintenance per customer contract. Performs a thorough examination of the equipment, identifies any necessary problems or repairs.
  • Discusses problems or repairs with the customer and clearly document any needed repairs.
  • Provides wellmaintained personal tools required to perform equipment service.

Pay:
$ $35.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
