    Description

    Join an established and growing Casino game creator known for product innovation in land-based games as a Lead Game Producer/Designer.

    The Lead Game Producer/Designer will be responsible for leading the game creation and delivery efforts of multiple game studios. You will work with the Game Development VP to set the development roadmap and schedule and to deliver per schedule milestones. You will also work with executive leadership to determine and implement a game portfolio strategy to best position the company to compete at a world-class level on casino floor.

    Position Responsibilities

    As the Lead Game Producer, you will be responsible for the creation and review of original game designs, new game themes and extensions to existing design and themes. You will review games in development and verify all game play and associated elements, as well as refine and adjust as required to ensure the games are of the highest quality. You will establish quality standards and methodologies for the team to follow. The Lead Game Producer will interact with multiple teams across the organization and will actively problem solve by using all available resources to meet tight deadlines. You will lead the studios and work with both technical and non-technical individuals, both in gathering information and communicating direction. You will identify and recommend platform features in order to better support game development.

    Specific Accountabilities

    • Effectively plans, organizes, and directs resources to design, build, and deliver games. Is accountable for all deliverables and estimates that come out of the group.
    • Creates math and gameplay designs that meet the business objectives and game portfolio strategies.
    • Creates and maintains all documents and files required for game development and submission to external regulators.
    • Manages the development of multiple casino slot games simultaneously, from kickoff to regulatory submission.
    • Sets priorities and assigns tasks using JIRA.
    • Continually plays the games while in development to ensure functionality and production meet the design requirements and organizational standards.
    • Defines and communicates team goals. Motivates direct reports. Ensures completion of daily tasks. Provides recognition and feedback to the team.
    • Mediates and provides guidance during design reviews. Will make the final decision in areas where opinions differ. Ensures design reviews are completed.
    • Participates actively in all phases of development including planning and analysis, design, development, and testing.
    • Ensure the team is using company-wide technology standards. Communicates when technology standards need to be changed or upgraded.
    • Reinforces the team's understanding of the product portfolio vision and strategy.
    • Develops and maintains technical documentation and operational procedures for areas of responsibility.
    • Maintains a thorough and current knowledge of land-based gaming markets and industry trends.
    • Develops and understanding of competitive products and technologies.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Knowledge of and experience with traditional game development workflows and technologies.
    • Understanding of land-based casino slot games and the casino industry in general.
    • Deep understanding of the current land-based casino landscape and market trends.
    • Ability to work with multiple creative and technical team members including mathematicians, artists, engineers, and testers.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Experience in managing small and medium sized teams.
    • Experience working in a professional team environment and following/improving software development methodologies.
    • Leadership capabilities and experience supporting, motivating and mentoring your peers and subordinates.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in a field related to game development such as game design, mathematics, art, computer science or the equivalent.
    • Five or more years of experience leading a team of 3 or more individuals.
    • Five or more years of land-based casino gaming experience.

    Location

    • The role is based in Las Vegas, NV
    • It is in-office 5 days per week
