    Konami Gaming is looking for a Senior Software Engineer IV, Unity Game Engineer to join our team

    The Senior Software Engineer IV, Unity Game Engineer will take ownership and contribute to key game product development. This position is responsible for researching, designing, and developing innovative software in support of the strategic development roadmap for the Games Division. This includes working on a team project with engineers, designers, and artists to create new game content, adding new functionality to existing platforms, and investigating issues reported from the field.This includes working on team projects or completing new protocols and/or game platforms.This position also requires the flexibility to act autonomously at all times while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.

    What you'll be doing:
    • Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
    • Formulates and designs software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
    • Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
    • Establishes current and long-range objectives, plans, policies, timelines and game design and completion schedules of product releases.
    • Analyzes new technologies and leads in technical vision of new projects or product lines.

    • Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.

    • Able to build consensus and serves as a mentor for new or lower-level software engineers on the team.
    • Promotes change in process and product by proactively implementing solutions with cooperation and buy-in from the team.

    Qualifications

    What we'll want you to have:
    • Bachelor's degree (BSCS, BSEE, or BSCE) from a four-year college or university (or higher degree). A Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum eight years related experience on Unity, including experience with scripting, textures, animation and/or training/supervising of technical groups or six years with a Master's degree. Gaming industry experience and C#, proficiency; SAS, SDS or other experience preferred. Experience in working with geographically distributed software teams.
    • Intermediate and above level understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products. Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business. Must be able to obtain and retain gaming licensure. Leadership, problem-solving, special knowledge and skills, communication, teamwork, customer focus and developing others. Patents desirable.

    • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
    • Develops business networks and builds internal and external alliances. Collaborates across organizational boundaries and finds common ground with relevant stakeholders.
    Work Environment:
    • Full time / 40 + Hours per week. Must be flexible for overtime, including evenings, weekends and Holidays as required.
    • Must be comfortable working in a cubicle with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at the computer terminal for extended periods. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse and telephone. Position can be high stress and extremely fast paced. Ability to handle directive, assess situations, enter into dialogue and complete tasks. Must be able to communicate verbally and write in English.
