    Description

    Position Summary:
    Obtains payment from patients with no insurance or no co‐insurance by maintaining self‐pay invoices and accounts receivables


    Education, License & Cert:
    High School diploma or equivalent required


    Experience:
    1. At least six months experience in medical billing; DME billing preferred. 2. Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and third‐party billing desired. 3.


    Computer skills required:
    Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint. 4. Knowledge of home medical equipment preferred. 5. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.


    Essential Functions:
    1. Manages self‐pay and collection accounts. 2. Processes monthly invoicing for self‐pay patients. 3. Manages financial assistance applications and yearly renewals. 4. Billing data entry, verifying benefits and insurance coverage. 5. Daily working of stop/hold report and alert report. 6.

    Sends POVs, CMNs, and LMNs to physicians' offices for signatures as well as obtains sleep studies, physician's notes, and prescription information.


    Other Duties:
    1. Assists in maintaining proper inventory stock 2. Assists with bi‐annual store inventory 3. Performs other duties as assigned
