- Perform maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and rebuilds of medium-large tonnage chillers and various other HVAC equipment in commercial, industrial, and institutional markets.
- Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments, and service requests to extend the equipment life cycle.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective oral and written communication.
- Collaborate with the field quoting team to provide necessary parts information, equipment data, and labor hours for accurate repair quotations.
- Serve as the direct customer contact, responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations to ensure satisfaction.
- Utilize cutting-edge software, technology, hand-tools, and rigging equipment to diagnose and repair equipment following blueprints or engineering specifications.
- Enforce Safety to the highest standards, recording Safety Audits, and ensuring compliance with the Siemens Safety Program.
- Work as part of a dedicated team to deliver the highest standard of service to all Siemens customers, including flexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.
- 5+ years of chiller experience, with knowledge of maintenance procedures, trouble shooting, rebuilds of medium-large tonnage chillers of All manufactures chillers and including various other HVAC equipment.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld computers.
- Compliance with company Safety program.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Universal EPA Certification.
- Registration as a technician with TDLR (Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation).
- Membership in good standing with the Local 211 Pipefitters Union.
- Experience with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
- Demonstrated expertise in chiller mechanics and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with a wide range of chillers and HVAC equipment manufacturers.
- Previous experience in commercial, industrial, and institutional markets.
- Additional certifications or training related to HVAC systems and equipment.

HVAC Journeyman Mechanic
Siemens and the UA National Plumbers and Pipefitters Union operate under a Master Agreement regarding HVAC mechanical work, ensuring competitive wages, benefits, and pension.
All candidates will either need to be a Union Member or if they have valid Trade experience, they will need an approved authorization to work under our Bargaining Agreement from the Union.
Siemens will share information and coordinate with the union to ensure candidates operate under our Bargaining Agreement for Compensation, Pension, Health & Welfare.
Candidates will provide the completed authorization to Siemens, prior to starting work. Siemens will make Payments in accordance with our Agreement, on behalf of the successful candidate to the Union.
