Essential Functions:


  • Plans, organizes and manages public affairs activities, media relations, marketing and general communications regarding events, operations and programs.
  • Assists with design and execution of newsletters, media releases, and responses to comments and inquiries.
  • Coordinates and consults with City departments regarding external marketing and communications and overall multifaceted media plans.
  • Maintains and fosters a positive working relationship with media contacts.
  • Assists in managing highprofile City initiatives and programs.
  • Maintains City's brand standards across the organization.
  • Serves as APIO in JIC operations.

Education/Experience:


  • Work requires specialized knowledge in a professional or technical field. Work requires professional level of knowledge of a discipline equivalent to that which is acquired in a Master's degreelevel of study, preferably in the area assigned.

Required:


  • Five years of experience in a related field, preferably in a management capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Additional Information & Requirements:


  • Valid Driver's License required.

Signing Bonus:
This position is eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus for new hires.
