Essential Functions:

Plans, organizes and manages public affairs activities, media relations, marketing and general communications regarding events, operations and programs.
Assists with design and execution of newsletters, media releases, and responses to comments and inquiries.
Coordinates and consults with City departments regarding external marketing and communications and overall multifaceted media plans.
Maintains and fosters a positive working relationship with media contacts.
Assists in managing highprofile City initiatives and programs.
Maintains City's brand standards across the organization.
Serves as APIO in JIC operations.

Education/Experience:

Work requires specialized knowledge in a professional or technical field. Work requires professional level of knowledge of a discipline equivalent to that which is acquired in a Master's degreelevel of study, preferably in the area assigned.
