Landmark Hotel Group is seeking a
Business Travel Sales Manager for the_ _
_Holiday Inn Express _located at
_1813 W. Mercury Blvd, Hampton, VA 23666 _and
_ Hyatt Place _located at
_ 1905 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, VA 23666._
Expectations:
- Demonstrated sales ability
- Possess a "Do it now" and "Yes, I can" approach
- Outgoing, inquisitive personality
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated closing skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage locally negotiated rates with new and existing business accounts
- Monitor client preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
- Emphasis on direct outside sales calls in the market
- Negotiate and close contracts to verify rooms and meeting space commitments
- Confer with organizational members to accomplish work activities
- Represent the organization in external relations
- Contribute toward the development of appropriate goals and actions
- Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements
- Establish and maintain interpersonal business relationships to facilitate work activities
Qualifications:
- 23 years sales experience, preferably in hospitality industry
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
- Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria
- Operational/Service background or orientation
- Knowledge of Food and Beverage (catering)
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required
