Provides an exemplary model of customer service, hospitality, and operational procedures while leading and managing our ambassadors.

PAY:

$19 - $20/Hr

SCHEDULE:

7AM-4PM Thursday-Monday

Weekends Required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

FRONT LINE LEADERSHIP - responsible for managing shift duties of the clean and safe ambassadors while ensuring compliance to all Block by Block standards, procedures, and policies. Leading our Ambassadors, which are our biggest asset, is a very important part of management. Ambassadors need leadership, great coaching, and honest accountability to continue to make a difference in your downtown.

OBSERVE AND REPORT - while on patrol, be watchful for ambassador performance, overall cleanliness of the district, and unwanted behaviors or criminal activity. Dispatch clean or safety ambassadors via two-way radios to areas of need. Team leaders must be able to articulate an accurate description of persons, vehicles, and other similar identifiers. We need great communicators, both for our ambassadors as well as for our communities we serve.

HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE - while on patrol, team leaders will go out of the way to actively acknowledge pedestrians with a friendly greeting or identify visitors in order to provide directions, information, city information or recommendations. We are actively engaging the general public. We don't wait for the public to engage with us. We offer hospitality to everyone that we come into contact with.

REPORTING - must be able to provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed. Team leaders must be able to provide direction and counsel to team members and report concerns to Operations Manager.

PROFESSIONALISM - must maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and overall Block by Block standards of expected professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL ABILITIES -

Must have the physical capacity to traverse continuously during an eighthour shift, (with our without reasonable accommodation) with normal breaks (two fifteen minutes, and one thirty minute meal breaks)
Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more when needed.
Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports that are permissible in court proceedings.
