Schedule:
Full time, seasonal position.


Must be available 3-4 days a week and holidays and weekends

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • As a Pool attendant, this individual will own the Shores pool space and create or cultivate a fun and exciting environment. Shores pool during the day from 9:30 am to 10 pm every day. In addition to manning the pool and providing fantastic customer service to our hotel guests, pool attendants will offer recreation activities for the Shores hotel guests.
Greet all guests promptly and in a friendly manner.

Attend to the pool-related needs including, but not limited to, retrieving fresh towels, relocating chairs and/or umbrellas, and issuing recreational equipment.

Arrange and clean pool furniture and umbrellas in a neat and visually appealing order, specific to the property procedures throughout all pool areas during each shift.

Monitor the use equipment and facilities and report hazards immediately.

Discreetly confirms member or guest names. Escalates discrepancies to management for any necessary follow up with unauthorized pool guests

  • Previous customer service experience, ability to work in a fastpaced team environment. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently.
  • Able to approaches guests and graciously offers assistance and confirms guests' comfort and satisfaction throughout pool visit
  • Must be engaging, outgoing and personable.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English with guests, vendors and employees to their understanding.
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends, morning, evening and holiday shifts.
  • Must be able to work outdoors for duration of work shift.
  • Frequently needs to stand for long periods of time.
  • Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. frequently and 35 lbs. occasionally.
  • Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and/or twoway radio, respond to general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in English before guests, children, parents, managers, or employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.


REASONING ABILITY
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

All employees in this position must obtain and maintain current CPR & First Aid Training Card.
