Description

Activity Treatment Specialist (FT) - Riebel Program:

What you'll do

Working in one of our residential homes alongside our experienced care team, you'll plan and organize activities that align with the treatment plans tailored to meet the needs of boys and girls ages 10-16 in our program.

Additionally, you'll mentor clients, teach staff how to engage in therapeutic and fun activities, and create a warm, loving home for teens who need a refuge.

Compensation + Collaboration
We're starting team members between $19-$23 per hour with a generous benefits package.

Let's be honest
We won't sugarcoat this. Some days are going to be tough.

Those in our care have been abused and neglected, have histories of mental health challenges, and some are involved in the juvenile justice system.

Their trauma is real. They're short on trust and sometimes quick to anger. They're not used to caring adults who show up day after day.

But you will. You were built for this.

Hours:
Monday - Thursday 1-9pm; every other weekend rotating between 1st and 2nd shift.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college as well as one year of relevant experience is preferred.
Or
High school diploma with two years of related experience required.
Prior experience working with adolescents with in providing activity treatment services is required.
Experience working with individuals with emotional/behavioral disorders is preferred.
Possess demonstrated skills in various leisure time activities (i.e. arts and crafts, music, sports, camping, etc.)
For transportation purposes, must have a valid driver's license
Subscription to Wedgwood Christian Services statement of faith and agreement with the goals, purpose, and objectives of the agency.
