Job Title: Senior Accountant

Primary Job Objective:

Record, analyze, and adjust financial transactions to ensure accurate reflection against sales. Ensure integrity and analysis of financial data while maintaining knowledge of accounting regulations including US, international, and internal standards. Ability to meet deadlines is essential.

Essential Key Responsibilities:

1. Compile and maintain integrity of financial data in the general ledger.
2. Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
3. Review income statement accounts for reasonableness.
4. Perform monthly journal entries and closing of books.
5. Maintain accounting records for fixed assets and project control.
6. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll entries and accruals.
7. Conduct bank reconciliations.
8. Complete all required internal reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as well as special requests.
9. Assist and participate in external and internal audits.
10. Conduct variance and profitability analysis.
11. Recommend and implement controls and procedures as needed.
12. Assure accuracy of inventory through monthly reconciliation of perpetual inventory with financial records.
13. Provide pricing support as requested by Marketing and Engineering.
14. Handle various other ADHAC projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required; experience in manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• CPA/CMA credentials preferred; BA/BS in Accounting required.
• Deep understanding of month-end closing activities, previous experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Previous ERP implementation experience.
• High attention to detail with strong verbal and social communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to identify issues and resolve problems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
