Bilingual (Spanish) Residential Case Manager

Summary The Bilingual (Spanish) Case Manager is primarily responsible for documenting Probation client progress and adherence to Individual Plan (vocational goals, substance abuse, educational goals, family goals, behavioral goals, etc.).
- Conducting orientation and assessment using motivational enhancement strategies.
- Preparing individual treatment plans based on Probation assessments outputs.
- Delivering case presentations.
- Facilitating cognitive behavioral intervention groups; maintaining fidelity to the curriculum.
- Providing recommendations for the coordination and sequencing of program services.
- Recognizing and addressing ambivalence and resistance and helping Probation client maintain motivation to change.
- Coordinating referrals to communitybased services.
- Conducting booster sessions based on Probation client needs.
- Monitoring Probation client behaviors and implementing program behavior management system on a consistent basis.
- Serving as a role model to Probation clients and staff modeling prosocial behaviors.
- Preparing monthly reports and discharge planning reports that are accurate and prepared in a timely manner.
- Remaining current on research and literature reviews with "what works" in changing offender behavior and recidivism reduction.
- Soliciting Probation client satisfaction feedback.
- Establishing appropriate boundaries with Probation client and significant others.
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Bilingual (Spanish) Residential Case Manager has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience of the Bilingual (Spanish) Residential Case Manager:- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Human Services or related field with three years of experience in conducting assessments and case management functions.
- Knowledge of criminal justice and court systems.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Valid NY driver's license
Must have driving record acceptable to PMI insurance carrier and have reliable transportation.

Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
