- Lead academic requirements encoding in Workday Student, serving as campus expert on encoding functionality and related system configurations, participating in training, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure academic progress reports functionality is optimized.
- Maintain smooth, predictable production schedule to intake changes in academic requirements, analyze system configuration options to achieve intended impact within overall program requirements, test and validate encoding with schools and departments.
- Maintain process and communications to department and school officials developing curriculum, aligning with production schedules to structure publication and delivery of updates to academic requirements in the Bulletin and Workday Student.
- Engage with school and department curriculum personnel to ensure awareness and understanding of functionality, timelines and policies related to the implementation of changes to academic requirements.
- Enforce deadlines, academic policies and processes related to curriculum approval.
- Hire, train and manage a staff member primarily encoding, testing and validating academic requirements with schools and departments.
- Maintain operational process and communication practices to ensure shared work with direct reports and within OUR teams is effectively executed, with particular attention to the coordination of new/edited course records and updates to requirements in Workday Student and the Bulletin.
- Coordinate with OUR colleagues, Workday Support Team and WashU IT in maintaining system and integrations, i.e. testing and engaging with upgrades and ongoing maintenance.
- Address support requests from campus partners and students and escalate as necessary in alignment with Workday support delivery model.
- College/university administration, preferably in a registrar's office or information systems role.
- Familiarity with policies and procedures of a university, specifically those that relate to academic records and registration.
- Experience with educational technologies related to area of focus.
- Experience with process improvement, organizing others' work and/or staff supervision.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with composure. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with shared work, both within and beyond the office. Ability to collaborate effectively with various constituencies.

Position Summary
The Assistant University Registrar for Academic Requirements is a member of the curriculum operations team in the Office of the University Registrar (OUR).
The position is primarily responsible for the maintenance of degree and program requirement encoding in the student system of record, Workday Student.
The position collaborates with OUR team members, the student system support team and relevant vendors, and campus partners developing and recording program requirements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Serves a member of the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) team and is responsible for a specific area of focus related to and within the student system of record, including:

Engage with Workday Student maintenance and support:
Coordinate special projects and perform other duties as assigned; engage in professional development activities and study to improve professional skills and stay current on regulations and best practices; attend and present at meetings and events to represent OUR and Washington University in St.
Louis.Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three years' related experience in education, or equivalent.

Salary Range
$52, $88,800.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
