Responsibilities:

Comply with the roles and responsibilities of ISSO/ISSM as outlined in DoD8570/8100 and DHS 4300 A/B.
Maintain the Security Authorization or Certification and Accreditation of assigned systems.
Track the Security Authorization status of assigned systems.
Deliver all necessary documentation using approved templates, forms, and methods as per the applicable guidelines.
Continuously update all Security Authorization documents in accordance with the SOP.
Provide guidance to stakeholders for resource allocation and establish timelines for successful Security Authorization of a system.
Maintain all requisite documentation to retain Authority to Operate of assigned systems or system go-live dates.
Document all pertinent NIST and 4300A Security Controls and/or relevant departmental policies for each IT system under their supervision.
Prepare a Security Package and make any necessary modifications throughout the IT system's lifecycle.
Collaborate with the System Owner to identify additional controls essential for maintaining a positive security posture.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience, Master's and 8 years of experience, or PhD and 5 years of experience. Extensive relevant experience will be taken into account in place of a degree.
Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) process, continuous monitoring, POA&Ms, Security Authorizations (SA), NIST 800-37, NIST Rev3 / Rev4, collaborating with System Owners (SO).
Experience with the A&A process.
Understanding of RMF compliance.
Effective team player.
CISSP, CISA, or equivalent certifications (DoD 8570 IAM 3 equivalent).
Background in System Admin or other technical areas.
Experience with Ongoing Authorizations.
Experience with Xacta and eMASS.
Active Top Secret clearance.
