    Job Title: Staff Accountant
    Department: Administration
    Reports To: Senior Accounting/Business Operations Manager

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assist in preparing journal entries for month, and year end close
    • Assist in preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
    • Complete balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and other relevant reconciliations for various accounts
    • Verify, track, and complete payment of invoices associated with Accounts Payable and ensure payments are made in a timely manner
    • Receive cash and reconcile Accounts Receivable; manages accounts receivable collections
    • Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisor of any discrepancies
    • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes monthly books
    • Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents, and receipts
    • Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections
    • Prepare reports and provide information to external Tax Accountants for Corporate Tax returns
    • Serve as backup for Client Billing, Timesheet Collection, and Payroll
    • Other ad hoc reports and projects as assigned by the Controller or Executive Team

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

    Skills:

    • Strong working knowledge of Excel
    • Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
    • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
    • Personal integrity when working with confidential and sensitive information.

    Experience:

    • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
